Try a vacum cleaner with brush attatchment to gently pull out dents from midrange. I don't know what you can do about the torn tip. It probably effects the high frequency dispersion of the tweeter som .......

The A402 does sound identical to the 730. I use the 730 on the left channel and the A402 on the right. Perfect balance and sound. The A402 can be had for much less than the 730. I haven't tried the A4 .......

One of my kids use a Fisher 201 and I have a pair of x55b's in the basement. The receiver has a nice tuner and is well built. I'll hook up the 55b's and let you know what I think. Stay tuned! ::: TOPI .......

Hi, On my Pioneer SX939 receiver the numbers on the dial scale don't align with the actual frequency of the station. It is off by about .3Mhz. However the tuner sounds great, pulls in a ton of station .......

How about Allison speakers from the mid 70's? They're considered vintage but they are being made again with upgraded cabinets, cross-overs, and drivers. The basic design is the same. And what about re .......

A quad of NOS GE 7868 just went for $170.00 on Ebay. I have a Fisher X100b integrated that uses 7868's. I think when the time comes for new tubes I'll do the conversion to 7591's also. .......

I use my 730 with Totem Arro speakers. Awesome! Great big soundstage, tight powerful bass for such a small speaker, and very smooth. Just a tiny bit hot up top but I like it that way. Its a current mo .......
