On the Td124 I just place the Herbies mat directly over the stock rubber mat. VTA is adjusted at the tonearm to compensate for the added thickness. Sound-wise, it does improve clarity over the stock .......

I agree the TD150 has wide acceptance and familiarity in NA compared to the TD3xx models. I attribute that to a couple of things; the first being availability and for quite a while a nice low price. .......

I can't make the comparison, but I had owned the 100C for a decade or so. The 100c uses 4 6er5 tubes plus a couple of 12AU7A (or 5963) on the preamp and then has a separate power supply with a couple .......

Apparently much of the motion is rotational and on the horizontal plane but with elevation changes due to following the cam profile. And the cam isn't clearly shown. Just the pads, evidently soaked .......

While the external appearance is not so similar, one tonearm comes to mind that does use a cam operated cue lift. That would be the Thorens TP13 and TP13A. Sorry, no diagram for the TP13 lift is avail .......
