A lot of folks on here have been in the hobby for decades - I am guessing the average age for people on here is 70. With all the years in the hobby it becomes obvious that hifi salesmen give both good .......

there is just a quality of sound that a plasma tweeter that cant be topped .... from when I first heard them 30 years ago to the latest incarnation at the Costa Mesa show - PLASMA is the answer ..... .......

I have noticed that Hifi products this past 2 years are really getting hyped up extremely quickly - then dropped like a hot potatoe. a few I have noticed : 1) Mofi speakers these were hyped up to hig .......

get yourself am Oled tv - I recommend the s95b series from Samsung movie watching is astounding - much better than theater quality unless you are viewing an actual large format film reel .......

if you are going digital only I would recommend a real amp substantial amp - it can be vintage and a Pass B1 buffer instead of an integrated maybe you can pick up a used Krell and the B1 can be built .......

I have spoken with him a few times about doing that. its a model 700 which even came with the tape counter at top. I got it in working condition all for $200 the tape heads are in fair condition but .......

they are tilted and 8 inch off the ground as measured from the bottom edge of speaker - they might be even better if they were 90 degree perpendicular to the floor the practicalities of tying that wh .......

I raised the LRS 8 inches off the floor as an experiment today utilizing a pair of 20 x 20 x 8" cardboard boxes I was amazed at the extreme increase in bass output they also have more extended bass .......

I just did a survey here when I swapped my LRS speakers so they were tweeters "In" I was astounded at the improvement. The overwhelming majority of folks here who participated in the survey preferred .......

look the LRS is an amazing speaker for the money - maybe the best ever - but the design of the binding posts is horrid. I am sure nobody would complain if they raised the price of the speaker thirty d .......
