I used to build the 1/10 scale kits (remote controlled, racing, etc)... I could never get the paint to look like that. Of course, I did not have that setup with the sprayer. That kit is really cool. .......

I do not have a Schitt Freya, but I have had a lot of active preamps. I am now using a buffer preamp which includes two solid state buffers and a tube buffer. I kind of agree with the other responses .......

I have that exact TT, a KAB upgraded 1200MKII. I run the Denon DL-110, high output MC, and I LOVE it. Use a regular old MM preamp. Really nice. Just my $0.02. .......

I am thinking the 4001 may be a bit low in rating... 50V DC blocking, the datasheet claims 35V RMS. Most Vbias supplies are 50V ore more. Stick a 4007 in there and don't worry about it. The cost diffe .......

Yeah, after a while you don't have to read the label, you just know the colors. Also, the power indicator lamp is an actual black light, and the amp has a fan which has blue LEDs in it. Kind of nice .......

The WE417A pulls 0.3A at 6.3V AC or DC. Two WE417As will pull 0.6A. The 5687 pulls 0.9A at 6.3V AC or DC Two will pull 1.8A of current. So, the _load_ that the 6V DC supply is seeing with the two 5687 .......

Hrm I forgot to put at least a few numbers in my post... The 845 is idling at 57mA if B+ is at 500V, which is what we are (kindof) shooting for. The gain of the 845 in this setup is almost at 4, 2nd a .......

I finally recalled the extreme matched pot someone was talking about a while back, made by THEL. A model CP2500 in stereo is about $150 USD, but the matching is very tight (0.1db) between sections and .......

Is that 20.5ga combined? I purchased some of the small dia "silk" and I slide a solid siver 21ga wire through it for "hookup" wire. Works nicely. .......

Ok, uhh, no offense, but that math is not correct... "fuzzy" is a good term. Power does not equal V*I. P = (I^2)*R, subbing in ohms law, even for an AC circuit, we get P = (V^2)/R. The formula is true .......
