I have the Ultra Black speaker wires and (balanced)interconnects. To me they compared favorably with the Cardas Clear (only other cable I compared them to). I'm very happy with them. Tom .......

I bought a pair of Sophia III's a couple of months ago (trading up from modded Magnepan 1.6's) and love them. They're detailed, musical, have great soundstaging and imaging. They sound good with OK el .......

I'd ditch the center channel completely and use a phantom center. I originally had Magneplanar MG1.6's with the MG CC3 center channel, but eventually eliminated the CC3, and had no issues (in fact bet .......

You might consider giving Rives Audio a call. They designed my media room, and I've been very happy with the results. .......

I have an ARC 100.2 amp and modded Magnepan 1.6 speakers (hardwood stands and SMG-style x-over, ala Magnestands). I'll report back on what I find comparing the 2 pre's. Tom .......

I just bought 2 ARC LS16's - a first gen (w/4 6922 tubes) and a MKII version (with 2 6H30 tubes). I'm trying to decide which one to keep, but I'd like to give the first gen piece an unfair advantage b .......

When I did my room it was recommended that all of the dedicated lines use the same length wire run. The excess wire (for shorter distances) should be run back and forth (not coiled up). I did this in .......

I agree with Grant. I had Rives Audio design my room, and they pretty much set it up as Grant described. I also have a drop-down screen, but my room is a little bigger (16' X 23'), so the speakers can .......

Why don't you run contact Rives audio to design the room for you? They could help you with locating the chase for speaker/interconnect wires, along with power requirements, speaker location, room trea .......

How 'bout one of the Rotel multi-channel amps? I have an old RB985 Mark II, drives my all Maggie HT (1.6QR in front, CC3 center, MMGW for rears) to very reasonable SPL's, though I can occasionally ove .......
