The inductance is higher a bit but it's got the "Split pole pins" And the lower compliance of 20cu compare to 25cu of the 10 and up. I ask since the 3 and 5 stylus are real cheap Thanks .......

I have a Pro-Ject Phono Box SE II. I have 150 pf for the interconnect and 120 pf at preamp. 270 pf I can add 100 pf or 220 pf by adding jumper. The difference is there but not sure what is giving the .......

I have my SL-1200MK2 (2003-04) side to side with an Sl-1700MK2 The 1700MK2 does have gold pins connector My 1200's got nickel pins So cheap generic look-a-like headshell with nickel pins are not that .......

I have an Ortofon 2M Bronze and it's great but I use the original headshell since tonearm mass is 12 grams with it and you don't need any more with a compliance of 22 Don't judge it before way past 20 .......

If the top of the groove is toast maybe a small 0.5 mil spherical could get more sound and less damage maybe ... If the bottom is bad maybe a 1.0 mil or 1.2 mil tip could help. Problem with a 1.0 mil .......

For M3D, MK5 and M5G it easy with the switch. With Mk2 you have to get the pitch off-center click and find exact pitch. Some Dj get the Quartz Lock disbale and the ball bearing center click remove. It .......

I readjusted the bearing on my 1200 MK2. You have to adjusted them very precisely to the edge of slack/play. The lock nut will make them just a little looser. That sound easy but it is not at all. The .......

I find them good soudwise. They are an absolute bargain with a Stanton 500.V3 Usualy dissimilar metal are bad (tin vs gold) but this one have chromed contact. I think chrome are ok with tin or gold. T .......

I have one and at $85.00 + tax is a bargain for what your getting. It is marketed has a mix/spin cartridge. They list typical tracking force at 2 grams (1.5 to 3 grams) And it does track nicely at 2 g .......

I said that because if he line up to 60 mm with the cart straight in the shell then we don't know for sure the outer point. Most Japanese arms use something close to DIN Stevenson : 57.5 mm and 115.52 .......

I have a Shure M44-7 that will give you that big loud rock sound and still sound nice with classical mellow music. It's not high-end but it certainly does not deserve to be called a scratch/turntablis .......

Kind of surprising for a cartridge that tracks between 2 and 5 grams. I lower mine to 2.25 grams from 3 grams I don't have test records but some highly modulated from the 60's and 70's and I will see .......

It's Shure top of the line DJ model but the interior of the body is based on the V15 cartridge ! Tracking force is from 1.5 to 3 grams mine is at 2.5 grams now. But the sound is much better to most if .......

Why because the Ortofon Concorde Pro S is the problably the same cartridge KAB use and put an OM10 - OM20 - OM30 - OM40 stylus on Ortofon long ago made those Concorde with Hifi stylus but now you have .......

Even at 2.0 grams it's not fantastic. And that when you get a good stylus... Play something like some RCA Living Stereo or original 60's Rock = Problem If you really want that Grado sound get the Grad .......

I have recheck my setup using good lighting from different angle. The cartridge is straight in the headshell, I do it by checking with one eye toward the plug and again with the other eye And it does .......

Got it at a garage sale for $15.00 this summer. All light are out but evereything else is ok. DC Offset is under 20mv. little higher on one channel. I got my stock SL-1200MK2 with Stanton 680ELII hook .......

I would get a cartridge then a preamp or get one with variable gain. With more gain will be more noise and also less headroom (clipping). Maybe a bit more gain than the cartridge needs is good but you .......

Sorry to intervene here but Ortofon Concords have the overhang set at Technics standard 52mm method I believe. Which mean the null points are at around 58.8mm and 113.5mm Kind of similar to baerwald b .......

The antiskating on the Mk2 only go up to 3 grams but on the Mk5 it goes to 6 grams so you get finer tuning with the Mk2. Thank You .......

I have a 680 EL II which is the pro version stylus. Stanton says it's remix/recording cartridge now, it used to be and still is an FM Broadcast standard cart. Used for classical/jazz and any high qual .......

Hi, Better cable in tonearm and interconnect. Otherwise I thing it's features more for Dj's And you don't get the tick mat you get with the original Mk2. And the hinge for dust cover are not installed .......

I know it's quite good but on some hot and/or bad recording (like original from the 60's 70's and 12" single) you have to put the vtf closer and closer to the max 2 grams so it sound good but on a tec .......

I just got one today for CAN$75.00 with tax I quite amazed at the sound of it for the price ! No mistracking on very high modulation (grado ...). (90u @ 3 grams) I thing people are afraid of using 3 g .......

The M75 was not bad till I heard the M35X. They are both Shure but they sure don't sound the same. The M75 definetely sound like it's got a bump in the midrange. The body of the M75 is old. Thank You .......
