Hey JJ, We have not chatted in awhile. Have become a 45 tube addict. Back to the subject, I use cryoed 12AX7s, KT77s, 6922s, and 6CA7s in my other amps and have found them to be durable and sonically .......

I have been suffering from constant tinnitus the past two years. Unlike many with hearing losses, I have conductive hearing loss which occurs when sound is not conducted efficiently through the outer .......

I have been using cyroed KT77s in a custom SEP Eddie Vaughn design for the past 7 months without problem. .......

I believe the 6x4 rectifier can be a real sleeper with the Wright. My current favorites are a 50s Raytheon Square getter and Tung Sol Wavy getter. I also like RCA 5963s in the 12AU7 position with new .......

Try AWAs often sold in mass quantities on ebay. Works very well with Eastern Electric amp. (Better than Phillips). Mullards are also very good! .......

Doug, I contacted Leonard Gregory-The Cartridge Man, and he advises the MM III will work fine with your Grace 707. He said many of his customers are using the Grace/MM III combination. .......

JD, Where the hell have you been hibernating? Eastern Electric gear has been widely reviewed the past few years. An inmate reviewed the EE phonostage in April, 2005. There have been extensive reviews .......

Sorry, my ISP went down. Recently, I purchased a modded Thorens TD150 with all of the tweaks noted above. When comparing the Linn LK18 and an ADS XLM cartidges used with both tables, the TD150 is more .......

I own an LP12/Ittock II and a modded Thorens TD150/Grace 707, and the modded Thorens does sound better than the Linn. Many are modding these older, well built Thorens tables. User510 and The Analogue .......

I purchased a customized 150 TD MK II from gentleman posting under the ebay name About-2. (He currently has a TD 160 for auction on ebay). He makes a custom plinth with an IEC outlet for your favorite .......

Thanks for the suggestion on the Grado, but you are correct in that it may be years before one appears on ebay. I thought you might recommend a Promethian Green cartridge, which I believe was an 80s m .......

If you are using the unmodded MM Preamp, you might try finding either a TungSol 6x4 wavy getter or an older RCA for the rectifier. For the middle slot many like the E80cc tube (Valvo, Teles, Amperex o .......
