Maybe everyone knows this already, but I just discovered that you can rip SACD disks to DSD, DSF or ISO files using an Oppo 105 or 103 player. You don't need an old Sony playstation any more. It works .......

I ordered an Oppo Bdp-105d to replace my dear 999es. That Sony plays SACD's with limpid clarity. Not so great with CD's, especially the CD layer on hybrids. .......

The default is set to SACD. The SACD indicator light is on when I power on the machine and stays on until I put in a SACD disk. It goes off when I play the disk. I tried about 12 different SACD disks, .......

If you can find a used Sony 9000ES or 999ES you would be doing very well. Both could be modded later to yield a true reference player. Even un-modded, they blow away most of the more expensive players .......

I swapped Svetlana 6550's for EH-KT88's in my C-J Premier 12 monoblocks. The bass is tighter and faster, but with less low-bass energy using the EH-KT88's. The mids are about the same with the EH-KT88 .......
