folks is anyone using El34s to drive your efficient drivers? how do you think they compare to 2A3's/300Bs/EL84's and 6BM8's- I have been using 6BM8's in the shed, but the sapce is bit too big for the .......

Wow I just picked up a set of the rare Australian Audiosphere speakers. Each enclosure is concrete sphere, about 450mm across, with a single Coral flat 5, Sound is pretty impressive- they have a great .......

hi I am listenniing to one of these. It has a heap of inputs and features, including separate pre power sections, and weighs a tone- more like a vaaalve amp, than say the Au555 ( 3-4 times the weight .......

I sild my 10 in hard times too- but then picked up a slightly nocked around one dirt cheap on Eaby (seller didn't knbow that it had an arm on it worth more than the price I paid for it- so maybe your .......

keiwa Valley hifi (they run the Tannoy website) have been selling stuf on Ebay- had a attenuated box for biamping that looked good (went for about $20US) .......

I tied a Denon multi once with a dack- it didn't make a huge difference, I suggest that you audition one (it can't be too hard to find a Denon dealer) Actually, I use the Music Fidelty "CD imrover" th .......

perhaps not quite what you want, but you can check out the hinges on old decks at the dump. Anyway, let me know if you find anything, I need to make a lid for my Thorens, and my mate needs one for his .......

Am I wrong? I thought that all you needed was to get the specified down force, which can be measured with a balance, or trusting the information on the arm's own settings .......

John well. actually that's what I did- I got it set up by a pro! the warp in the platter is pretty minute. so I suspect it is not the problem. I had another thought, and am posting all this in a new m .......

Folks just got it back from being set up. Had to drive it back across town (20 Ks or so) w/out transport screws locked in, so we tried chocking it up with newspaper. Got it going, but big problem..it .......

thanks for all the info JJ well, the I changed to vynyl and got no didtortion at all on the Sansuis- it is a weaker signal, but i can crank the vol to full with no probs. Actually I am using only one .......

ah, that seems likely. 1 watt any recommendations for matching speakers? I have tried Goodmans 300, bset so far, Sansui Sp70- nice mid, but bass distortion (supposed to be 101db eff). I also have some .......

I would love to hear back from you. My 59M is haveing a similar problem- the arm checks out fine when moved in the air,as you do to check the bearings etc. However when it plays, after a minute or 2 i .......

egad, not me again!! I have been offered a relatively good eal on one of these with a tangential arm, and AT cart, for about $200US. Ho would you rate them? They are an unknown to me, although I gathe .......

personally, I think they are a bit bright, and lack bass, ( and I used the prescribed 200 ltr cabinet, w 2 100 ml x 50ml ports .......

I agree with Bon and Brett that the SSp10 is great. Brett may want to compare it with the Townshend rock too. The pertinent point is that it needs a solid base. I tried it in a heavy-ish plinth, hangi .......

I had one of the once, I think- sold it whe I got inot valve separates, but it still did a pretty godd job (hope I have the right model!) steve .......

I bought something on Eaby, but it ma not really be a heil - a big prism, sitting in a a round plate, about 4" across. Pretty inefficient, but very nice sounding steve .......
