I use a combination of a Hunt felt brush and an Audioquest anti-static which does a good job. (Don't understand at all previous responder's comments re an Audioquest. Sounds like way too much pressure .......

I agree that some live shows aren't very good. Two that I saw which come to mind are (1) Gordon Lightfoot in Chicago, where he did all of 25 minutes, was obviously under the influence and essentially .......

I'd recommend the iFi Phono 2. It's incredibly small, but does both MM & MC with an amazing amount of adjustments for gain, loading and capacitance. I've used mine with both MM and MC and find it to b .......

One of the problems with Van Den Hul cartridges is that for any work to be done, the cartridge has to go to the mfr. This can take a long time and he is getting way up there. Apparently you side-stepp .......

The Ortofon 2M Blue is a great cartridge for the money ($236) and is an excellent choice for the TT. On the other hand the table might just warrant a higher priced cartridge like the Ortofon 2M Bronze .......

I agree. I recently had occasion when I made some changes in my system amplification to try out 5 different speaker cables. These were QED Kudos, two different Analysis Plus and 2 different Audioquest .......

You didn't mention how wide these are. At almost 15 " they require a lot of space. Also Magnepans, although great speakers, are power hungry to get the best performance. .......

You might want to check out the Ortofon 2M series. The Bronze is available for $439 or the Blue for $236. Ortofon cartridges are, of course, noted for their accuracy and either of these 2 should work .......

Yes, Kal Robinson is right on the money. Back then Nonesuch reissues of European releases tended not to sound nearly as good and the vinyl was often less than top quality, therefore noisy, i.e., lots .......

Not that I've taken the time to do a scientific survey, but my impression is that many of those posting Audiogon complaints in GA have not been regulars here and are using it as a place to vent with t .......

I know you were at least partly tongue-in-cheek, but I'm curious: Is there a trombone equivalent to the Strads, Guarnieris, Amatis, etc.? Or for any instruments other than strings? .......
