That is what I do. - I Play a record with 3150 Hz. - Then I use a multimeter, which is capable of measuring Hz, on the output of the phono preamp. - Then I adjust the speed until it is close to 3150 .......

The only thing important for me is that the mat is conductive. Which is not easy to get theses days because almost all mats are non-conductive. I use a Boston Audio Mat1 (which is conductive) on my 12 .......

I think I know how this happens. The following is just my assumption : They use pretty thick cardboard as outer jackets. Which makes it difficult to insert any inner sleeve. They use those pink transp .......

For my TD318 it was a M4-0.6. I could not find one and bought a M4-0.7 instead. Which is no ideal because the thread on the bottom of the plinth goes through and can damage anything which is underneat .......

No, those are for adjusting the suspension. If you take off the main platter and look from above there should be a hole at 3 o'clock. This hole goes all the way down to the bottom of the plinth. There .......

Agreed. I checked the RF with HFNR and it was around 14Hz. Which is not ideal. But even with 4g added weight it still was on 14Hz. Which I think was odd. .......

Same thoughts here. And getting the 2 grand for a used SME is another issue. The wife-factor.;) I had a Denon DL-103 on it before without any tracking problems. But the Zyx is just in another league, .......

I am using a ZYX Airy R1000 3S-SB now. Before I had a Zyx Fuji. Both are great cartridges. But you have to change the little weight on the anti-skate needle. The standard is some 1.15 grams I did put .......

Almost all of the 45rpm are incredible. But this is now the best 45rpm I have heard in my system. If you are interested in classical music, this is a must have record ! Never mind the originals.;) --- .......

Actually, I have the opposite experience with Speakers Corner vs. Classic Records. Most records from speakers Corners are badly scratched, badly recorded (subway syndrome) or very dirty. It is so bad .......

It is actually from EMI. It says produced 1961 on the label but I assume it is a reissue. It is a great recording. Very quiet and very good quality of the vinyl . I did not expect something this good .......

Regarding LP quality. I bought around 50 new albums in the last 2 month. I would say 70% of them have scratches or dust or some sort of residue. And it does not matter from which label or 180/200 Gram .......

I bought a 12"x12"x1/8" sorbothane sheet from Edmund Scientific for $15.95. They are very sticky. I did put a epson photo paper on the under side and a thin cork mat on the upper side. Works great. St .......

There are two allen bolts on the arm base. They are hidden under the plastic funnel. When you loosen booth screws you can set the VTA of the arm and when you turn the base horizontally you can adjust .......

I have a 'rumble' on my vinyl rig. Although I am not 100% sure because I have it only on certain LP's. Perhaps someone with the same LP's can verify that. When I listen to 'Bach: 6 Cello Suites Janos .......

Dave, It is not such a big problem because I have a 30 day return guarantee. I did not want to buy a used TT because of the delivery problems. These items are very fragile. It is just a shame how thin .......

I got my MMF-7 today. I have to admit I am not impressed. The TT was dirty out of the plastic bag. The cover is even so dirty that I have to give it back. The quality of the TT is rather mediocre. Per .......
