I too owned a pair of Sound Lab M-1 speakers about 20 years ago and they did need a ton of power, over the years Dr. West has gradually made changes that make his speakers somewhat easier to drive ::: .......

Thank you for chiming in Andy, I have been following Skunkie's saga with much interest , it is worth noting that she is tweaking a Boyuurange A-12 which is a SET amp and my amp is the MT-34 push pull .......

Not certain on the actual watts requirement, I am currently using a Boyuurange MT-34 MKII to drive my Sound Lab Majestic electrostatic speakers, on Triode mode it is said to be cranking out just 15 wa .......

I just purchased a Caig vacuum tube survival kit and am not really happy with it, it has 2 plastic cleaning brushes which are too big for my EL 34 tube sockets, and one small metal brush that is much .......

I am saying that is what worked for me. I had my player on a Symposium Acoustics ultra stealth edition platform with roller blocks with the super ball upgrade,also had a VPI magic brick on top for mas .......

I had the same type of problem with my Marantz SA-10, sitting the player on a 4 inch thick maple cutting board completely solved the problem .......

I should note that after causing a bit of anxiety that the carbon fiber outlet covers work with Shunyata outlets and with Shunyata power cords, the outlets have a metal clip on one end that must be re .......

It is about 3 years old, not purchased from Music Direct, I talked to my dealer and he says he has sold many of these and has never heard of a problem but it is covered by a 5 year warranty.Time to ho .......

It is refusing to play cds, sometimes I have to open the drawer and reposition the disc a couple of times to get it to read, this is a fairly new problem,it is a nice sounding player .......

Yes, that sounds about right, I also spritz a dab on the print / label side of sacd and red book discs and lightly buff it with a viva paper towel before going on the Acoustic Revive demagnetizer ::: .......

My Marantz SA-10 offers a choice of filters which can be selected with the remote control. You could perhaps try buffing out the disc with a clean microfiber cloth and Walker Ultra Vivid .......

I have used these in all of my components for about a year with no problems. The gentleman who sells these told me that most audio equipment designers tend to go a bit conservative with fuse amperage .......

Well Ok,.....the peg board on my garage walls can be easily removed as I used screws to install it, this would leave R-19 fiberglass insulation with the kraft vapor barrier facing the listening area,s .......

I have heard that enhanced cd's can be made by burning a copy of the original disc, something about less jitter on the new burned disc I believe. Anyway.....I pretty much know nothing about this, can .......
