Have you tried the Kimber 8PR? I find that I like this more than the more expensive Kimber offerings. For whatever reason, the bass is much fuller and the price is right. .......

You are sort of comparing apples to oranges but here goes. The Rogue amp is $3500 as compared to $2500 for the Parasound amp. You are talking 100 watts for the Rogue and 250 watts SS for the Parasound .......

I always felt that Robert Harley was extremely thin skinned when dealing with complaints about TAS or himself. Maybe thin skinned is the reason why TAS doesn't contribute to the Asylum. .......

My thought was to convert the analog to digital and then run it through the dac in my McIntosh preamp in order to get some change in sound quality. It was the only way I saw to get an improvement. ::: .......

Sorry to say I had just the opposite experience with the Stereo 90. It had an annoying ground hum I could never shake. I sent it back to the factory only to be told they found no problems. Sure enough .......

I traded my C2200 for the C2300 under the McIntosh Trade-up plan and I am glad I did. I found the C2300 sound to be much cleaner. You also get a newer unit for a reasonable price. What is not to like .......

The amp does blink for a few seconds and then you can hear a relay kick in and the power light goes solid. That is the way it operates. .......

I have found that changing the input tubes in my Rogue 90 didn't make as big of a difference as changing the tubes out in My McIntosh C2200 preamp. .......

You did not mention what exactly is rattling. I know of other Klipsch owners who have glued their speakers back together. Evidently this is a common problem on older Klipschs. You might also try Parts .......

I am using cryo'd EL34's by Svetlana (SED). Per factory instructions, bias is set at 30ma instead of the normal 35ma for KT88's. These tubes should give you the smooth mid-range you are seeking. ::: T .......

I had a pair of the F12's and I think you will like them better over the Monitor Audio's. I was using a tube amp to drive the Revel's with no problem. The Anthem amp should do just fine. .......

I have used the EI EL34s and the Valve Art KT88s and 6550s. I liked the VA KT88s the best, better bass and a rounder presentation. The VA 6550 are sharper all around and the EI tubes didn't make much .......

Avian, they do sound just a bit brighter(or leaner) but it is a sound I actually prefer. Not overly lean, but I hate the bloated bass and midrange that some audiophiles seem to prefer. Perhaps the cry .......
