Look. The 5V gets usually upscaled to meet the requirements of higher voltages in the output stages. So, It's not the 5V. It's the "upscaling" that makes the difference between DACs with higher "nativ .......

The Allo Boss 2 is not a typical HAT. It'll occupy the GPIO header, but sits side by side with the RPI motherboard. IMO not very nice is that the DAC board still covers a small part of the RPI. E.g. T .......

It is one thing to look at an eye pattern. You could as well measure the noise at the DAC input. We've seen that these USB filters do what they are supposed to do. We havn't clearly seen a correlation .......

It's stream and outputbuffer. Both are RAM buffers! The first buffer doesn't need to be that large. Usually 20-50MB (20000) will be more then sufficient. Make sure you got the zeros right. As I said, .......

PiCorePlayer is also evolving and well maintained. The PcP folks do focus much more on system optimizations compared to Moode. If you want to run a PI as headless streamer PcP is IMO the way to go. E .......

DietPi did the image for Allo mainly because of their commercial relationship. DietPi tried to sell HW for Allo. Beside that. Even if he supports the Sparky, that doesn't mean that he can use a reason .......

There's the Alsa buffer setting towards the audio device. That's in ms! The other buffers are the streaming buffers. The first part (20000) gets loaded with the data from the network -untouched- , the .......

MPD = Music Player Daemon. It's the actual audio application. It's a standalone audio playback application without GUI. You need a web interface or apps to control it. It's a much more simplistic appr .......
