If the bass traps are evenly spaced out from the corners you may have created more of a panel absorber effect. So basicly your trap is spaced out to far from the corner to be any good. Try to put the .......

I found a local supplyer of OC 705 and 703 in 8' X 4' sizes. The 705 is not the paper faced kind. What can I use to make bass traps with the 705 and not over deaden the mids and highs? Wouldnt cardboa .......

A friend of mine told me that back a few decades ago they used to drill holes in drywall and blow in insulation of some kind in between the studs.....does anyone know what this stuff is and Would this .......

Take my word for it.....They are well worth the investment. Forget about the meter and do something that will make just as big, or bigger a difference than proper speaker placement......Put in some b .......

Thanks for all the help. I have attached those pics of my room. Im using the Sony VPL-HS20 projector and Sony PSS-610 projector suspention support. The bottom of the projector is 1' from the ceilin .......

dgainer, I got my 4" curved B.A.D panels today. I ordered 4 of them but Im only using 3 of them behind my couch. Your advise was right on the money. They work really well without over damping the room .......

Its a pexiglass like case...some times when you buy a deck of playing cards, they might some in something like this. Any place you can buy collectible playing cards sells these things. .......

Yep, I agree...When I started to bass trap it was as if the bass was increased in volume. And I could hear more individual notes instead of a blurry mix.... it sounds more detailed and honest. Regards .......

Buy some Velour theatrical drapery...the heavyer the better. Velour also absorbs light. great for projection rooms! .......

Couldnt you just strip the 2 wire leads and twist them together, then wrap with electrical tape and get the same effect? That way you wouldnt have to solder the plug if you didnt want to. .......

Actually, In the past Ive used 1" and 2" thick respond(fiberglass) panels at all the reflection points. I got rid of them because it DID make my room way too dead sounding. Currently All Im using is 2 .......

I used to have 3A's. Then I had Linn 5140's. Now I own Revel Studios. Of the 3, I would have to say the Linn 5140's were the best speaker for Rock music. However, all three will float your boat in a b .......

Ethan, I just recently read some were that if you sit near the rear of the room for listening as I do, you shouldn't use bass traps in the rear corners because it gives the effect of no bottom end to .......

You could put in a floating or suspended floor. Frame the floor using standard building supply 2 X 4's or what ever you like, pack the joists with fluffy fiber glass, and then install those designer w .......

Ethan, I got my new mondo traps up yesterday and just the two of them make such a big differance! It didn't deaden the highs either, which is good. Now I just have to save my pennys and buy two more .......

Ethan, I thought that the high and mid frequencys would have been absorbed on the face of the trap? Not behind the triangle opening on the top and bottom.?? Wouldnt the face of the trap do most of the .......

Very good point. The issue I take with EQ's is that is only optimises the sound for 1 person (location) in your room. The room Im wanting to treat is a home theater. Also, I wouldnt be happy with a E .......

Ive used Sorbathane footers of various sizes over the years. It does definatly change the sound. But to me, it sounds like it rolls off the treble and softens the bass. I personally dont really like t .......

Last time I asked, the Vandies are internally wired with AudioQuest cable. It would probibly be the best bet. Synergisticly speaking. Take care! .......
