I remember Thorsten posted some plans on a Yahoo Group (can't remember which one) about how to build a cable for going from SPDIF to AES/EBU. I think it involved something like using a real 75ohm rca .......

Okay...I tried putting some heavy, heavy books on top of my Marantz CD-67se as a damping experiment. The result was better weight but much less open-sounding. In short, not really an improvement. And .......

Aside from the obvious downside (weight), why aren't there more concrete-enclosed speakers? Especially with the success of the Norh Marble series one would think that concrete would be more popular, .......

DEFINITELY get the Blackhole. You can add it later, like I did, but it's a pain and had I known the improvement would be so great I would have definitely sprung for it initially. As for the specifics .......

Is it just me...or do those look amazingly similar to the Axiom M22Tis? The tweeter is obviously different (though still a metal dome) and the 5.25" woofers look like they are aluminum in the pic, jus .......

How are you setting the amp's input impedance? You should have a resistor in parallel with the input pin (ie: shunted to ground) otherwise your opamp will have incredibly high input impedance. For ex .......

Ah...I still have my Sennheiser HD-580s. Great headphones. Very smooth and neutral. I found the Grados a little too "shouty" for my tastes. The only reason why I mentioned you as being a smoothness n .......

These are certainly good, but for budget shoppers most likely with budget speakers and budget electronics, I think the MIT Terminator 5s are much better. I have both cables and the MIT's are much mor .......
