Great review John! In my own home studio (FULL disclosure we are a Bricasti dealer) I use the M12 because we listen to 75% vinyl, so I require that one analog input. Also with the M12 there's one less .......

Of course TT sound different. But in this video look at the 1st table he's using a DS static Eliminator while the 2nd table does not. I've confirmed these type of devices do improve sonics. ::: TOPIC: .......

Don't think it would harm a cartridge if using self threading screws from top but why chance it when there are so many alternatives. .......

I use Blu-Tack but them place a small piece of cellophane on top which then prevents damage yo bottom of speakers .......

Again it's a great starting point but you should 1st understand if your cartridge body should be parallel to record or slightly tilted up or slightly tilted down. Check with the manufacturer. Sometime .......

We have sold 50 of the Nasotec units almost identical to what you got. Best to place it in front of cartridge to verify cartridge is parallel if in fact that is what you are after .......

Don't think more break-in is needed. I also couldn't get the top end smooth enough or overall sound engaging. The speakers are good but not my cup of coffee! Good luck and keep us posted .......

Depending on your home environment yes it does but nothing to cause concern IMO. It's easy to remove that top piece but just remember you will have to readjust the VTF once removed. ( should have ment .......

Haven't heard the PS Audio but love the sound of the Bricasti DACs. Bricasti's support is by far the best there is. Had a chance at Axpona to hear and compare the new M3 to their M1 and you can not go .......

Typically electrostatics do not have the slam/dynamics of a closed box design. The Sanders 10e does use a woofer in a transmission line loaded design but still can not match a well designed sealed box .......

Yes BDP you are right the ET's are not electrostatics I should have said "planar or panel" speakers. BTW I loved the ET's but you couldn't play them loud or they would "fart" and they didn't have deep .......

Correct but over my close to 40 years of listening I've had SS, SE, PSE, PP and now OTL's and by far the best have been the OTL's. Now you most certainly have to match these with the right impedance s .......

Only RCA's I use are the WBT 0210AgMs and if a component does not have them I change them out myself, they are that good. Detail, bass, air they have it all. Yes expensive at $100 each but well worth .......

The S4 is a V6 333HP machine that's faster than any of the 3 series. I've owned BMW's and their handeling is great but I'll take the Audi over most Bimmers. YMMV. .......

I'd look at Nanotec Strada #201. I don't sell them anymore (but use them in my system still). They are wonderful cables but lack the air and transparency of cables in the $3,000 and up range. Only buy .......

The units that have the KSL technology, which has many more of the hand-built Kondo resistors and caps, do sound a LOT better than the older M7 units. Alos make sure the unit has a detachable AC cord, .......

I've actually have the same experience. With the ModWright in my system, the control of my Escalate Fremont speakers is just incredible, this compared to my reference $85,000 pre-amp. Yes the ModWrigh .......

I've been using Beauhonrs (with DX4 driver) and 2 REL Stentor's for many years, and can't tell the subs are on unless the program material has bass that is called for. It might be that each REL is alm .......

I can give countless examples where I've passed on gear that was 5x more expensive but didn't "move" me as less expensive gear did. YMMV .......

chuck55....I have to agree. Yes a single driver speaker does the "real thing" just incredible. It does (usually) give up at the frequency extremes but what it does right is sooooooo right it's hard to .......

Audio Note Japan has just released a new cartridge called the IO-m. It's basically the same as the IO-j but has regular pins as opposed to their IO-j that comes with it's own dedicated tonearm cable. .......

BUT...I found the RealityCheck duplicator to be far worse than the Cool Copy duplicator, as now 6 others that I know who have tried both also agree. Yes, there are a few who think otherwise but we all .......

I too prefer the Cool Copy over the Reality Check, everytime, no small difference here, the Cool Copy is cleaner, and more definition, it's very clear! .......

every time in my system. ANY CD if it's just a so so disc or a fabulous recorded disc, the CC has outperformed the RealityCheck EVERY time, it's not even close IMHO. .......
