I use the bryston 10B to set low pass and high pass xover of 80 hz. I have done a lot measurements and this works for my room. .......

you should really consider the Gr research open baffle concept. I have stereo subs with 3 12 inch woofer for each sub xover at 80Hz with my 3.6s. They sound amazing. .......

For 40 microseconds, 0.54 inches is the difference between the two speakers in arrival time. Just move one speaker and remeasure until there is no difference. BTW, 40 microseconds will shift phase at .......

In REW, with the mic positioned at lp, configure measurements to use Acoustic Timing reference using either the left or right and keep that way for all measurements. Take several repeated measurements .......

Yes that should work with the microphone you selected. The MC1 roll off at close to 100 Hz. You should add a left and right sub ideally and the measurement set up should help you integrate them with t .......

Stefano, not an easy decision. I have the 3.6s with 2 subs in a much larger room and I love them. Front wall is diffusive, back wall is absorptive. Lots of room treatment across all 4 walls and ceilin .......

Monoblocks are Bryston 7BSTs. Kept the socks off after I sent the frames to be refurbished by Magnepan. Gives me a chance to monitor for wrinkles, delamination, etc... Plus I think they may sound bett .......

I have the same CD and the finger snaps on my 3.6s are localized above the left speaker also. It is caused by "pinna transforms, the way in which the shape of the outer ear filters the incoming sound .......

Spent most of yesterday into the night evaluating 80,vs 90, vs 100 Hz croosovers with 3.6rs bass panels on, versus 3.6 bass panels off with lp at 250/18 and hp at 200/6. I used mostly this reference r .......

Andy, I have the 3.6R high passed at 200 Hz. Not using the external Magnepan crossover boxes. The house curve I created was eq'ed from 20Hz to 8000Hz with cuts only, no bumps. Not sure if this answers .......

eddie... not so easy. You have to look at the specs for output impedance of the preamp and the input impedance of the amp. As a minimum you need a multiplier difference of 10X between the two of them. .......

I agree with MarcL 100%. One of the difference between scattering and diffusion is in sound coloration which scattering will likey cause. You can Google scattering vs diffusion for more info. QRD diff .......

Are they being marketed as diffusers? If so, the manufacturer should be able to provide diffusion coefficients at given frequencies. To me, they look like they may provide more scattering than diffus .......

I then measured each speaker as a set to confirm that the jumpers did not change the frequency response...which they did not. Then I measured each speaker with its own crossover wired to the other .......

I feel your pain my friend...best thing you can do is download a copy of the free REW and buy a USB mic and tripod. I used to own other speakers and the manufacturer would fine tune each paired to wit .......

Already done. Both of them with same preamp channel,same amp channel,same speaker cable, same external xo, same fuses,both on center of room with mic 1 meter away. The problem is inside the speaker. : .......
