With the set up I had here the bass was not muddy or boomy but rather fast and tight. Highly powerful and dynamic speaker that can really convey alot of emotion with exciting music such as Rock or som .......

The carpet pieces may be a good thing. I have hardwood floors and have tried the quarters under the spikes and also thick pieces of marble and much like you ended up with some nice thick "carpet sam .......

Very satisfied with this Arcam FMJ CD 33 I picked up used a couple weeks ago. Wide and deep soundstage and very detailed. Compared against Jolida JD 100A the Arcam sorts out the music better providing .......

The speakers you have are very precise. I have tried different cD players and have found they make a big difference.. for example the Rega Planet 2000 is excellent with bass and punch/dynamics but see .......

VANDERSTEEN 2CE's , no sub required, solid down to 28 hZ! Found used on audiogon sometimes for around 600 0r 700 dollars. You will probably love them. I have a pair and was very pleased with their all .......

Paradigm studio 20 V 2 compared with the Quad 12 L's in my living roo proved the 12L's showed more detail than the Paradigms. However the Studio 20's are much more solid and well balanced IMO . 12L's .......

A few months back I sold my MMG's. They were pleasant to listen to but my room is a little bigger than yours and it seemed like I needed a larger room with the MMG's to actually get the best results. .......

I'm using an Onkyo TX8511 with "4 ohm capability", There is a little switch on the back , to select 4 ohm or 8 ohm but it will not or " not recomended to run 4, 4 ohm speakers, this impedance problem .......
