Vocals on some music files sound pretty good, but many that sounded pretty good at one point still sound distorted. I tried changing everything back to where they were when vocals sounded MUCH better .......

I have plenty of sound proofing in my room, but I listen in near field. I wound think that earwax with reduce detail in music, but not the sibilants that I am hearing. Nothing new in my room from when .......

I'm using foobar and I have tried disabling the equalizer many times. I also tried jRiver, Audirvana and one other high quality player which I believe was Pure Music. All produced the exact results. .......

I'm using .999 silver, .9999 silver, and the caps I believe are high purity copper. I did experiment with different types of wire and never heard too much of a difference. I am not looking for perfect .......

No, I did not let it break in that much because I felt that 300 hours of use may improve the sound by maybe 10% or so. Besides, W4S claims the vocals on my test CDs sounded just fine using my returned .......

I fixed the problem by using super-fine sandpaper on the contact pins and tapping the tube with a pencil. I did want the RCAs because they are great for vocals. They are gray. .......

Anti-virus programs tend cause issues, especially when uninstalling them. Windows Defender will never bug you to upgrade or anything. It's stable and does not interfere with windows or other software. .......

This should not cause it to not light up, but make sure that mute is not enabled in the XP Speakers settings. Up to a few months ago, I had the same Streamer working in XP. .......

The cables got the volume corrected in my speakers, and it took care of sibilance in several CDs, but the game is not over in that I'm still experiencing sibilance on other songs. .......

I feel like an idiot to say that my Cardas RCA plugs were not adjusted properly and thus had a sloppy fit. I tightened the adjustment on the plugs and a lot of the problem disappeared, and more import .......

I tried reversing the wires on my tweeter to see if it was out of phase and I found that it sounded absolutely horrible, so I switched it back. The difference is like night and day, and the sibilance .......

Nothing about the Teac or the NAD, but cost does not always translate into better sound. There are very inexpensive DACs and amps on the market that sound great and will compete with the expensive uni .......

Any of the SATA plugs will work fine. You must have an older power supply if none of the power plugs are for SATA, but yes, you can use a SATA adapter. .......

What I'm hearing is a tinniness in the tweeter that seems to be the result of the tweeters kicking in at a lower frequency than what they are suppose to. .......

I shipped my Metrum back (a 20% restock fee!!!). I'm back with my HRT and I can't IMAGINE any DAC competing with it. The resolution and depth are incredible on the HRT! The HRT may look dinky, but wow .......

I've done searches but all I could find were DACs from China. I do not really have a problem with a Chinese DAC, but I'm a little wary without reviews or good recommendation. Thanks! .......
