I was in the same boat with the tv above the fireplace. A neighbor showed me a "down and out" wall mount that brings the tv out over the mantel and down to eye level. I bought mine at Dynamic Mounting .......

I also have a pair of Abby's, and have used a number of 45 and 2a3 sets. I found the extra power of the 2a3 did not significantly affect the sound,except for volume, and the 45's superior over the ent .......

I picked up a 2265B and it has either paint or glue runs on the faceplate.I have tried Windex, formula 409, Murphy's Oil Soap, Scott's Liquid Gold and Mineral spirits to try to remove it. No results. .......

I have used both a 45 set and a 35w p/p amp with 95 db speakers. The 45 was more than sufficient. An important question is whether you are using a pre. If so, the 45 will do nicely, and, imho, sound s .......

Don, It's not the buying of speakers that is the problem, it's the later post of sneaking them into the basement. I have a corner of the basement (growing constantly) filled with speakers and tube amp .......

I've been using a VTF-3 for a couple of years. Great controlled bass, and fast enough to keep up with a high quality amp and speakers. Very nice tone differentiation, also. My only complaint is that .......
