I mentioned on another forum that I was figuring to go with a Mose Hercules power supply as an upgrade from my Valhalla and it was suggested I consider the outboarded Falcon power supply from Phoenix .......

For you LP12 fans out there, one of my big concerns is that it appears to be something of a money pit. I corresponded with one guy who has dropped over $6000 on upgrades for his LP12! That's waaaaaaaa .......

I've seen a couple of Well Tempered Turntable classics on the used market for a bit under $1000. That's supposed to be an exceptional table. I know of one which needs a lot of work/repair that's avail .......

I've got a guy coming over to the house this Sunday with a Well Tempered Reference table and a Delos cartridge. Both should be head and shoulders above the Linn. Should be... I need to listen and lear .......

Before I dump the Linn, I want to hear it against other tables in the same class. That's the one thing I haven't done. I have NO idea how good it is or is not relative to other tables. It is maintain .......

How did you choose the HW-19 Junior in the first place? And when you heard the LP12, were you able to A/B compare it with your HW-19 at the time? If you're in the market for a new table, do you drag y .......

From what I've seen, a new sub-chassis starts at around $700 by itself. The Hercules power supply is something like $400 or so, isn't it? I think I could easily drop $1500 on updates. Or I could unloa .......

The Valhalla power supply is 29 years old and they don't have a good reputation for durability. It also has the original motor and sub-chassis - remember the serial number of 1901? The table is coming .......

Long ago I fell in love with the sound of MOSFET amps when I bought a B&K ST-140 back in 1986. I now use 8 channels of a B&K AV1260 12 channel 60wpc amp to drive the Orions. They retail for about $12 .......

Those $80,000 systems don't reflect anyone making insane profits, even though it seems that way. The dealer probably sells 4 or 5 of those things a year. He'll have about a 40% markup, so he's making .......

You've got it nailed! The LXstudio system is just the LXmini with the bass bins from the LX521. What's interesting is that Madisound sells kits for the LXmini, LXstudio and the LX521. The prices aren .......

To be honest, I thought they sounded good, but not amazing. Imaging was only so-so. I couldn't tell you why. The builder took his cabinet panels to an auto-body paint shop and they looked terrific. .......
