I bought cables from Periapt that are very nice and not expensive at all. The originals were junk, certainly not appropriate for $1k phones IMHO. If you want to keep the OG, you could also buy an exte .......

Outside of the obvious open back issue as noted below, I'd recommend if you're getting the 650s, buy the Drop 6XX version. As far as powering them, a cheap HP dac/amp like the Micca Origen2 would work .......

I did not notice any break in issues. But, the 800s are said to be very sensitive to amps and can be treble-happy if not matched properly. Perhaps just a bad match, as the BB is extremely clean. May n .......

Bought my Chord Mojo DAC from them. Had an issue and they replaced the unit. So they did what was expected in the circumstance. Never bought any of their cables, as they were a bit more than I like to .......

Having had and used the TASCAM 3000 for a few years now, I'd highly recommend it for vinyl recording. As far as CDs go, yes it can record those, and I've used it to record my SACDs from my Sony 9000es .......

Used a Dragonfly 1.2 for my desktop system for many years, and was very pleased with the unit. It's biggest limitation was the resolution being capped at 24/96. I record most of my LPs on my TASCAM 30 .......

I've used the 100 for at least 15 years. Retubed it last year. No issues, have always been extremely pleased with the unit. Never heard the 200. I'd say the 200 is probably twice as good as the 100? ; .......

Think the Elac's are the contenders for inexpensive speakers, but I'd pair them with the NAD 3020 or maybe the PS Sprout. Don't believe you'd need a DAC, as there seems to be one in each, if a compute .......

Had two 20H's, never had a 20L or AT, but FWIW, the 20 was very refined and smooth, with highs that could be stunning. Seemed very well balanced. Also had two 10X's, and the 20 was similar, just more .......

A composition of his recorded when he was with Charles Lloyd in the 60s is one of the great ballads IMHO. On Forest Flower w CMcB on bass of course. CL does a nice version on his ECM album The Water .......
