Actually, it is customary for the pianist to get familiar with the piano before they agree to play. A famous concert pianist I am well familiar with actually gets the piano delivered to his home befor .......

Aha. Thanks. I kind of verified again listening tonight - I pushed the volume slightly beyond half way, and I get close to the volume I was hearing when I messed up with the tape out. Unless I was so .......

Thanks guys. One wonders why manufacturers don't add some protection there. On the back of my pre-amp it is SO easy to confuse the two - both say "out", and you have to really squint to notice the lin .......

I think I figured it out. Does not fully compute in my relatively non-technical head, but here is what transpired: On the assumption that it might be a ground loop harmonic, and given that on occasion .......

Quick update, especially for Quad owners. I heard back from Rob Flain at Quad UK. One important excerpt from his email: he recommends NOT using the Quadlink and unbalanced IC's at the same time. I kno .......

Al, Thank you. Yes! It is a buzz, not a hum. What you wrote makes a lot of sense. The issue is psychological more than anything else. If I know that this does not mean the amp is broken, and it is fur .......

the shorter the interconnect, the better, not the other way around. I did not much believe in the importance of neat wires, but I realized that letting them touch, especially power cables touching int .......
