A Sherbourn 5/1500A - beefy, 2 channel amp putting out about 300 watts/channel into 4 ohms to drive the 2nd voice coils. The Crowns will output 525 watts into 4 ohms. Perhaps the extra wattage is help .......

Go for the 580s, 600s, or 650s. All of these cans sound markedly better than the 598s and all of them are 300 ohm or greater. Good deals abound, I bought 2 pairs of 598s several years ago and paid $20 .......

Songs average about 10MB per minute when ripped to WAV, so your average radio play song is gonna be about 40MB. The only way to get to your 5MB size per song is to rip to MP3 and one would hardly admi .......

24 bits and 48KHz is plenty good enough for the archiving of vinyl. And the file sizes it produces are much smaller than using 96KHz or 192KHz. As Tony said in one of his posts, vinyl is a good stora .......
