I second the EMT as well. Very similar to the Denon 103 in many ways - robust, well balanced dynamics, but more even handed and resolving, with none of the weaknesses of the DL103. .......

Verity are not always a benign load (at least the Sarastro and Amadis are not) and some require a lot more power (e.g. Parsifal). Only ones for a lower power tube amp may be the Fidelio or Leonore. : .......

You should minimize the potential to ground - Disconnect all interconnects from the Aurieges, plug in the two prong interconnect and measure the voltage between the Aurieges' grounding nut and the AC .......

I would have thought the same: the cinemag are quite flexible with respect to gain an should fit a wide variety of cartridges (similar to the Mu). That together with the Lundahls should be a good star .......

The Fi Y is a little on the noisy side and you do get a little hum, even with the volume turned completely, but this hum does depend on the tubes used and is about equal in both channels. In my case, .......

The Shelter and Wright should be a very nice combination. You could run the cartridge directly but you will get excessive tube rush and noise as mentined below. Running a step-up will give you more ga .......

The only real reason can imagine is that some instruments might be more difficult to hear, e.g. upright bass has a harder time coming through against the drums. I have heard much jazz at small venues .......

I saw it on Agon and it looked like one of the best deals out there for a Scout. Also consider getting the SDS with it. Much more important than the Ring clamp IMO. My Scout runs about 1% fast without .......
