I just bought a 3 LP set of Tchaikovsky's Symphonies 4, 5, and 6 by Mravinsky, but when it arrived I found that Symphony 4 is conducted by Sanderling, not Mravinsky. So these are not the Mravinsky rec .......

I shouldn't worry about having to turn the 840a up "almost all the way" (4pm, or given its range of -72dB to 0dB, I had it at -6dB to get maximum volume I like) if there's no clipping and it sounds go .......

I bought mine at garage-a-records.com for $89.95 + $2 shipping. They were fast and courteous. Lpgear.com charges less for the cart but 4x as much for shipping so I found garage-a-records to be cheaper .......

Norm, I think the 35F I have is quite similar to the 37F. I have absolutely no hum at all -- background is deliciously quiet. I'm not sure about that 5mV output spec though. My stereo cart is a DL-110 .......

Hi Norm. I ordered the ME+ rather than the MC+ because I actually spoke to tech support at Grado and asked them about ordering one new cart and 2 new styli -- a 1mil. for older lps and a .7mil for new .......

My current speakers are no-names, built somewhere here in the northeast -- Arant A-80's. I bought them from a local shop in Keene, NH, after they handled themselves well against various $500 speakers. .......

Thanks for responding Neil49 and RGA, but what you suggest is easier said than done. The nearest audio dealer (1.5 hour drive) carries Yamaha and Joseph Audio speakers, so he's no help. At 2.5 hours, .......
