Setting up a 6.1 system. Mains will have 9 gauge speaker wire and the rears about 12 gauge. Right angle bananas would give me more room to manuever, especially for the rear channels. I probably don't .......

Their Reference Moniters were my main speakers for years so I always notice the inquiries. Starting 3-4 years ago there have been several people trying to track them down and I have not heard of anyon .......

You described the classic set up. I use it with a CD player going right into my integrated amp for two channel. For 5.1 I use a separate DVD player into the good old HT processor with the main L and R .......

It sounds like judging from the other posts it would go a few Dbs lower overall. It is tight and musical. The ability to cross over down to 35 Hz is an advantage that should not be overlooked although .......

How much patience do you have? I was thinking that for rear channel use a set of used TCM SEs in basic black would do the trick. I have the TCM-Ms in front also. They come up every so often on audiogo .......

What do you know about sub set up? Have you searched around to learn the basics? Try the SVS subwoofer web site for some tips. Then come back and tell us what speakers you will use for mains, what typ .......

Usually the hi pass filters integrated into the subs are not the best. The B-15 may be an exception given the price and that it is the same brand as mains. This should be easy enough to investigate at .......

Both Rel and Vandersteen advocate for speaker level connections, simply using the same speaker out post on your amp as you do for the speaker. The sub will not draw enough power be significant. Before .......

I'm just going through this process myself with a Rel Strata and a ACI Force both at home on a trial basis. In the past and this time as well the best integration seems to be with the sub low pass set .......

A pair of Merlin TCM-SEs came along used at a price I could afford so I had the guy ship them directly to the factory for the Millenium updgrade. Am using a mid fi HT system, entry level DVD and Rotel .......
