I leave my RPi on all the time because I have it connected to a linear power supply. Occasionally the power goes out and it is rendered non-functional. To fix it, I simply reboot piCorePlayer. Works e .......

Actually I'm not using a HAT; it's coming straight out of the USB port. It's an RPi4; supposedly the earlier RPis don't fare as well on USB because they share a rail/bus (?) with the ethernet connecti .......

The "front" setting does not sound as good as the "hw" setting. However, if I use the "plughw" setting, it seems to sound as good, and it appears to survive a reboot intact. Sorry for all the posts... .......

I didn't notice the Topping DAC. So you use the 775 as a transport for SACDs sent into your DAC. Unfortunately, you can't send a DSD signal that way, but I guess the sound is acceptable. You're actual .......

I have had success with a Monarchy DIP. I also use a Jisco jitter decorrelator by Altmann. Check out jitter.de . You might consider this if the AES / EBU connection isn't crucial. It made a huge diffe .......

I just checked another frequency test CD stream from Deezer and my left speaker resonates between 73 Hertz and 80 Hertz. Sounds like a problem with the speaker cabinet. Maybe I'll take it to the audio .......

Out of curiosity I decided to check my speakers with the audio test CD by Audio Lab streaming on Deezer. I was disappointed to notice some hum/distortion from between 40 hertz and 125 hertz out of bot .......
