AFAIK there are no opamps! I modded mines by removing all TDA1543s but one and modded IV resistors to the values of Peter Daniel's DAC. Eventually I sold the unit. .......

The correct answer is an old Positive Feedback Magazine! Vol8, #1 Audiophile fuses sound worse than ordinary fuses and are way more expensive. AFAIK the original JC2 preamp had no fuses! .......

It's the weirdest theory I ever heart. Anyway I do not hear any adverse effect on sound when using said Schaffner filters in my DAC. They are available in 1-16 A rating. .......

The older Kondo DAC from Japan used 16 pieces of PCM56?? My NONOS Valab DAC with 8 TDA1543 sounded a lot better with 7 TDA1543s removed! .......

As I see it this makes sense for polarized electrolytics. For film caps I suspect the effect being very subtle. Besides that you need the double amount of caps and double the value as with two caps in .......

Obviously it's a Audio Note as the left red PCB has the Audio Note logo on it. Unfortunately Audio Note is using the CS8414 in their CD-players also. This means that the clock is recovered from SPDIF. .......

Hi, Search the AA for the Wildmonkeysects loopfilter or Google. A comparator at the SPDIF input also improves things like in Buffalo DAC or search Elso's idea on diyaudio.com I also experienced a 74HC .......

Abbignton uses non S1 version. According Thorsten is does not make a significant difference. I think he is wrong! Zanden uses double crown and has bought all stock so it seems.... .......

Hi, I bought some TDA1541 chips that had a hard short circuit. So maybe that's a failure mode. Check all power supply voltages on the DAC to be sure: +/-5V and -15V. .......

As a coupling cap they sound way better than the V-cap and I don't have the patience to wait for burn in. .......
