I had a similar experience with Michelin.....a sidewall blowout on new tires. And Bridgestone which came at 8/32 and wore too quickly. Come to think of it? We owned a car that CAME with Michelin 'S8' .......

Physics being what it is? Not much room for improvement. My 'S' lens.....a 70-200 f2.8 is about the same price and within a hairsbreath of the same size and weight as the F-mount. Call it about 1400 .......

Those (alleged) brakes are MAYBE good for ONE stop from drag strip speeds. That hemi should get that beast up to 100+ in the 1/4.......and get maybe 100 miles worth out of a set of REAR tires! Would .......

Want a Tandberg 3000x? It's good for parts but may be fixable. Incredibly COMPLEX machine, being a single motor design with 'backspin' applied to the feed reel and NO pressure pads.....with crossfiel .......

Nikon did the SAMETHING. I don't know if any Tamron, Tokina or Sigma glass is available in the new Nikon mount. I've seen some 'Artisan' glass which is all manual....which sort of defeats the purpose .......

It appears the crankarm and 5-bolt spider are cast as a single piece. Hole in center will be splined.....as is the other crank arm.....And on the spider side a single fixing bolt into the center tappe .......

Boy! I'm out of touch. Last band people I had touch with used Peevy Vintage or Tweed Twin......with the Bass Player having some MONSTER setup which when cranked could be heard 3 blocks away in downto .......

I don't know if Carver JUST added some output resistence..... He worked a LONG time in the motel room with all his gear before his 'null testing' got a very low result.... That's the origin, I think o .......

Sure....I can 'see' a 3cyl, inline, of 500cc X 3 = 1.5 liters.....give or take...... With a 120degree crank, has good primary balance and the secondary can be dealt with using a balance shaft..... I'd .......

I briefly rode (maybe 200 yards) one of the big SloZuki Triples. IMO? Dangerous, with a 'riding a screen door' feel about them. turned around and gave it back to the owner. NO Beer Run was worth .......
