I am using Don Allen SET monoblocks with the 45 "Globe" tube. Puts out a whopping 2wpc. For the lower frequencies, I'm running the Channel Islands Audio D-100 monos. The combination is very satisfying .......

I think you nailed the sonic differences between the two. I enjoy the Sonic Euphoria for the "slam factor" that the Placette can't quite match, and the Placette for the "speed" that surpasses the SE. .......

I have heard. Bob Gross is one of just a handful of people who REALLY knows crossover design. I've had the Super Clefs before, and they were very nice as well. Definitely worth looking into! ::: TOPIC .......

Alpine 7894 (used, $300). This is a two year old model with XM radio capabilities. I think the quality is better than the new ones. Lots of features, excellent sound. Alpine TUA-T020 XM Radio receiver .......
