well, you never know for sure, but in fact the new iMac 24" should sound better than the old iMac 27", at least for 3 reasons: 1. the new M3 processor is way better; 2. the new iMac do not have intern .......

there are reasons to use optical fiber other than length; a lot of people swear that, for TV, HDMI optical cables are way better than copper and the like; that's why i thought perhaps the same improve .......

nope, my USB cable is just 1 meter, and very well protected; also, it is the same cable that i used before, so it seems that the present (small) problems are due to another reason, my guess being the .......

i'm using exactly the same Siltech adapter good to know you prefer adapter than streaming to RP i'd try one those cables USB-C to USB-B to bypass the adapter at any rate, my present iMac 24" should so .......

i've got a new iMac M3 Sonoma, which has only 2 ports USB 4 to take advantage of my USB cables i'm forced to use an adapter to USB-A i think my former SQ is now a little worse, a little harder perhaps .......

thanks! i've been using Audirvana for the last 10 years or so, but only as a digital player; i'm more inclined to manage my music on my own computer, rather than resorting to other means .......

don't worry, i always use one of those test screw drivers to determine live on the AC line, then i proceeded accordingly for the IEC plug to receive the live in the right place; ground is obvious; man .......

first, 18ga is way too much for a USB cable; among others, too low resistance, so probably too low impedance second, if you don't need the 5V, the perfect solution is using a 2 legs USB cable; some .......

thanks, but your suggestion sounds me like a drop in the bucket; if you try my 2 legs cable the real problem is soldering 5 wires to the USB-B plug, 2 of them solid, 20ga; among other things you need .......

IME massed strings hardness are invariably due to jitter, and this may proceed from a poor DAC and/or a poor USB cable you should try a NOS DAC, better if also a "true" R2R one; they worked for me an .......

very very strange indeed! did you allow them enough time to break-in? i compared them as analogue IC's with my best Jupiter wire in cotton, by using exactly the same RCA plugs, and the HAC's won hands .......

if your main idea is just to get rid of hard disc spin you really don't need to use SSD: all you need is using Audirvana, or similars! they put your selected music from HD onto RAM before playing, so .......

yep, sound idea... yet i used solid Jupiter wire in my Ramm XLR screws with no problem... i'm planning to use this Elecaudio jack as well, not so expensive as the Oyaide and look great... i'll post .......

in comparing the iPurifier 2 with other devices, you should take into consideration that it really needs many hours to sound OK mine started to sound good only after 50-60 hours! after that, everythin .......

my experience is the same; for this sort of application, which i consider to be similar to IC cables, i always prefer solid than stranded, and copper than silver, or silver plated copper .......

i think not, but i'd like to be sure; to my knowledge, all Sylvanias like that were made in the 50's, or early 60's, then the Sylvanias 5751 3 micas were made mostly GRAY plates in the 60's, then they .......

yep, ebay is great, BUT to sell isolated products; for a big collection of SACDs, or CDs, not so easy, e.g. you can't post a list of the collection in Excel or PDF, but only pics; even here, in the AA .......
