Hello, I hope there is someone out there that knows everything about the ESL 63, because I'm in a kind of dead end. I took the enterprise to reconstructs these speakers, a task much more complex that .......

I just removed the front and back mylar dust covers, not the metal grille and cloth socks. .......

I have one for several months now. It is connected to a squeezebox 3, Ella amp with golden dragon KT 88 valves, and Quad ESL 63 speakers. In my system, the sound does not have the "typical" MF signat .......

The plastic holding the fuse is under high pressure and sometimes breaks. That happened to me. I would check that before throwing it away. Cheers. .......

Hi, I have a more recent version of that circuit board, and so cannot be completely positive, but to me it seems you are looking for the diode on the top left. It is connected to a 220 ohm resistor. .......

I have a modded Dac-Ah. One day, it failed. Opened it to find out the fuse holder broken. Apparently, the holder has low quality plastic and could not resist the high pressure. It was simple to repair .......

I've the original Classic. It sounds very good, smooth and detailed, in particular with a good pair of NOS tubes. I used it with several speakers, always with nice results, even with low sensitivity ( .......
