Both of mine were the first ca200 that were only made in '96. They had heat sinks on the back and ran hot. I'm guessing Classe recognized the design had some problems so they changed it after one year .......

The high power makes a difference in control. Even at fairly low volume having a bunch of extra power improves definition. A lot of people have experienced it but I don't think anyone knows why. ::: T .......

In my experience slam is proportional to woofer size. From a normal listening distance you need at least 8" woofers but 10+ is better. You can get a type of slam from ports but I find it unsatisfying. .......
