There is no doubt in my mind that Lumix Leica lenses are fantastic. I have the 25mm 1.4 and the 14-50 2.8 4/3 format lenses. Both were manufactured in Japan at Panasonic factories under Leica licence .......

Personally, at 12 years, I would buy a new one. I would buy an LG, as they make all their own components. Most common brands (Maytag, Frigidair, and others) are made buy the same company, using Chines .......

Camera tripods use either 1/4-20 or 3/8 16 mounting studs. A decent camera store should have 1/4-20 to 3/8 adapters available. .......

I read about them in an aquariest magazine- you have to kepp them in an acrylic tank as they break glass tanks fairly easily, and gthe noise is loud enough to wake a sound sleeper. .......

I would stay away from the Carvers. They have a frighteningly low impedence and will chew up most amps. I heard them demonstrated once and they were quite impressive- with 1000 watts driving them. Als .......

I have the same problem. It's the mouse. My Microsoft mouse goes through batteries in three days. I went to return it but had misplaced the receipt' so I just use rechargeable batteries. .......

I used an Anthem MCA20 with my 1.6s for 2 years and was very impressed with the value it gave. 300 W into 4 ohms for cdn$1250,and made in Canada. It blew away the big NAD I compared it to and the B&K .......

I did it with an Audiolab preamp once- worked great. The only problem was the brightness. I had to fool around with different resistor values before I got it to not light up my life. .......

The problem is not so much the fuse as the fuse holder. If your going to do all that, make it so that it can be reversed so you don't void the warranty. .......

Have you added a light near the tt? Halogen lights cause hum because they use a transformer in them. Also if you have a dimmer anywhere in the room it could be the cause of the hum. .......

Just get some outdoor outlet covers.They are non-magnetic cast metal with spring loaded doors. They don't resonate very much compared to standard outle covers and the spring loaded doors hold the plug .......

I found that decent jumpers sounded better than bi wiring. I had VDH Magnum hybrid for the treble and VDH magnum for the bass. I made some jumpers out of some scrap VDH Magnum and they sounded better. .......

Rearward away from the speaker. I believe Magnepan uses the feet for more than one speaker, and the insert just makes the extra hole cosmetically pleasing. .......

IMHO, butcherblocks should sound better because of the slightly different densities of wood breaking up resonances. Having said that and using both in my system, I can't hear any difference. ::: TOPIC .......

I am auditioning a Bryston BP 20 without phono and my Project Phono Box has 200mv output for 3mv in. The Bryston has 500mv input sensetivity on all inputs. The cartridge has 2.5mv output so if my math .......

Yes they do work- very well. Do a search and make your own. All you need are 3 6" innertubes and a couple of pieces of MDF, or whatever wood floats your boat. Then decide if you want to spend the big .......

Very. I made them pretty much like Green Lantern's exept I used copper pipe insteat of conduit, which eliminated the need for the couplers, and drilled and tapped the holes in the bottom of the Maggie .......

I use 2" thick butcher blocks. They are made by glueing small pieces of maple together so the grain is oriented vertically. This breaks up internal resonances in the wood. I spike them to the floor ( .......

I am driving my 1.6's with an MCA 20. It was by far the best bang for the buck in amps. 300 w into 4 ohm both channels driven, lots of current, 1250 dollars Canadian It barely heats up at 100 db! ::: .......

I have noticed a slight improvement in midrange detail bi-wiring with VDH Magnum Hybrid for the highs and VDH Magnum for the lows.BTW I posted earlier on the use of the supplied attenuating resistors .......
