for me, it's complete genius and i consider the series from 8 to das lied to 9 to be the mahler that touches the deepest. but i have to add, #'s 2 & 3 are a bit overblown to me. i've only experienced .......

the new shelby lynne: just a little lovin' is quite impressive for a commercial disc (the vocals were recorded with sinatra's old mic at capitol in LA)... also i really enjoy the jvcxrcd of eden atwoo .......

While there's no arguing that Riddle produced great arrangements for Sinatra and could be considered to be an equal partner in defining the concept album, to say that Sinatra wouldn't have been Sinatr .......

i've sat many places at DCH (on the sides, in front, behind, and up top) and all times thought it was pretty good... i can't compare it to the concertgebouw though! if you can afford it, go for it, .......

Feist is really an Indy/Pop darling right now; It's gotten really good reviews and even the NY Times jumped onto the bandwagon. If you like that song you'll probably like the rest. But I have to admit .......

her liszt sonata, quite a wonderful interpretation as well... on my hungaraton cd it's paired with the schubert sonata which makes that disc a real earful but not necessarily one you want to listen to .......

What impresses itself upon me is that 'Pancho and Lefty' is a piece that Emmylou still includes in her solo shows. To actively advocate a song for over 30 years is really something, not that others ha .......

last season apple had a special snowboarding jacket designed to hold an ipod... i think it had built-in speakers in the collar and contols to access the ipod on the sleeve! it may have been a special .......

i like the denon mini systems that come with the mission speakers... they don't do anything drastically wrong, are cheap, easy to find, and quite small. i use the smallest system at my computer desk w .......

i had a similar thiing happen, i was surprised to find that if you use a payment agency like c2it, you are't covered under your credit card because they view it as a proper transaction if c2it transfe .......

the downloads are mpeg4 which apple is calling aac...the downloads can only be played by apple's itunes jukebox software or on an apple ipod portable player because of copy protection...the downloads .......

what they're calling aac coding is mp4 and offers a choice in encoding rates between 16kbps to 128 kbps (recommended) to 320 kbps...they state that 128 kbps encoding in mp4 is equivalent to 192 kbps i .......

i agree about the tivoli model 2...it's the same as the model 1 but has a second speaker for stereo and is designed to be used with a separate subwoofer, the model subwoofer...i'm using it hooked up t .......

i've met the nyc importer and was impressed by the company's vision...apparently it's difficult for concert artists to play on instruments other than steinway because of the advertising tie ins steinw .......

imho, although there are commercial adhesives that will work on polycarbonate (lexan) which discs are manufactured from, it's going to be hard to get much penetration of the adhesive into the crack wi .......

imho, wilco has been progressing chronologically...each album seems to be a step forward...so if you like yankee, i'd suggest 'summerteeth' which i like every bit as much & regard as maybe a masterpie .......

it all matters, imho...i've been using the ps audio power plants for over 2 1/2 years and found that power cords running into them & out of them also made noticeable differences, as well as the socket .......

i remember reading in 'the parts connection' that the lacquer cardas uses to coat their litz (to prevent interaction between the strands i guess) is quite difficult to remove to tin the wire once it's .......

i believe it's their take on a 'loudness' button...i.e. a tone control that compensates for the ears non-flat frequency response at low spl's (when you're listening at low volumes it will add some bas .......

I helped a friend set up a system a couple years ago which included SL-3's...I found a pair of previous generation VTL monoblocks (~200 Watts/side) on Audiogon for around $2000 and they work perfectly .......

some cables are designed specifically with bi-wiring in mind so that the internal design of the cable allows it to be separable into conductors with a smaller gauge (larger wire diameter) for the bass .......

I'm also rather curious why you'd have the P300 feeding the UO and then going to the amp...have you tried the UO feeding the P300 and then the P300 driving everything else? That would seem to make mor .......

the front panel button disconnects the outlets but doesn't turn the unit off...to do that you need to flip the rocker switch on the rear of the unit... .......

yeppers! actually i just got my ultimate lab cable yesterday and am using it to power my p600...the p600 powers my tube mono-blocks as well as two p300's-one for the digital and one for the analog fro .......

i use a p600 to power my 150w push/pull monoblock tube amps as well as 2 p300's which power my analog and digital front ends (all tube based as well)...the p600 doesn't even break a sweat...at most it .......

These things are all relative... You may have bought your PP600 and liked what you heard, but depending on your equipment & set-up, may or may not have realized all that it was capable of delivering. .......
