I know Kirk could help since he was the one that developed the Power Bank way back in the early 90s. It was almost a necessary addition to the 300se Monos, IMHO; that's how big a difference it made. I .......

I've always loved the 6V6 SE guitar amps as well as some of the vintage audio versions. Man, these beasts have the BEST tone. Yet I have never heard a optimized 6V6 amp recently, only models rebuil .......

Having owned the Adcom GFA-555 in the past, I can tell you that it's MORE than overkill for something like the Klipschorns. At 104db sensitivity, you would be putting the 555 into the sub watt terr .......

Right off the bat there are major topology differences with these two units. The Zen amp is not a true triode amp as it uses the SV83 or EL-84 in a pseudo-triode wired mode. IT is nowhere near 5 wat .......
