George, I appreciate your help. I have questions. And I will probably have more as I learn more. I think they are 6 ohm resistance. So does this mean I hook them up as a 8 ohm speaker to my amp? Also .......

Thanks for the site and info. I do have them communicating with the sda cable. They are in excellent condition and I do like the sound they provide. In fact I have never heard a stereo sound so good, .......

Thanks for the info. Especially the info on the Polk's. I can't seem to find much on them. The speakers are bi-wirable, but when talking to Roger Russel(former Mac speaker designer), he told me not to .......

I just purchased a mc7300 amp and a c39 preamp. The guy I purchased them from just had them serviced at McIntosh's lab. He is a friend of mine and is upgrading his system. The gear was hardly used to .......

I recently purchased some near mint, used McIntosh gear. I got a 2-channel, 300 watt (mc7300) amp, and a c39 preamp with THX card installed. I also purchased his Polk signature reference speakers, SDA .......

No that does not mean I prefer to taking acid when listening. I am a chemical engineer that gets tested for drugs periodically. What I was referring to was "back in the day", it did enhance my listeni .......

That is exactly what I did with my McIntosh mc7300 two channel amp. I purchased an Adcom 3-channel amp and some surround speakers, center channel and sub to complete my 5.1 system without compromising .......

According to Roger Russell, (engineer for McIntosh Speakers for many years) it's ok. I recently purchased some old, hardly used Polk signature reference 2.3 speakers, that were also rated at 6 ohms. I .......

Tool is really good music. Not one of the band members outshine the other, except maybe the drummer. Danny Carey is probably the best drummer in rock today. .......

I have McIntosh c39 preamp and it has a loudness control knob. I hadn't used any type of tone control until I purchased the c39. I am very pleased with the control it allows me at low levels of volume .......
