Actually, JBL's SRX712M - 12" two-way stage monitor has been reported to have remarkably good high-endish performance. Very nice components. The experienced reviewer indicated they might amaze some pe .......

and yes, it generally is permanent and indicates hearing loss, but you'll still be able to end up enjoying your stereo. After awhile you kind of compensate. Research it, a fair amount is written. Ther .......

The sub1500, besides being a 15 incher, was a discontinued item. PE had them on a closeout kind of arrangement. There is a new kickin' 15 inch from JBL, not seen much yet; gotta check what the model n .......

JBL recommended the JBL 2220, the 2225, the E140, and the E145. Again, try a 2226, the drop in upgrade to the 2225, and it will be hard to beat in that box. .......

It's not really a hi fidelity unit; made for low cost sound reinforcement. It has a curvilinear cone. Try units like the 2035 or 2226. Both are VERY good drivers. .......

Probably made in China. Don't expose it directly to rain, still needs a cover as the MDF and vinyl/formica won't hold up to moisture. The funny thing is, one of mine is under an outdoor countertop rig .......

I have owned and used them extensively, using a stock JBL 1 inch driver. If for hifi, no, for for your use, yes, definitely good enough. They will sound pretty decent with a decent driver. They are fa .......

My take; it's a curvilinear cone, and intended by JBL as a sound producer, not reproducer. It intentionally contributes its own sound. An okay driver, perhaps, but not like the beefier 4 inch VC JBL u .......

BTW, even a single driver has phase errors. Sound emanating from different points on the cone are not in phase with sound emanating from other points. But, as with many multi-driver setups, people gen .......
