The answer is yes and no! The Krylon polyurethane is a solvented coating which can be applied over an oil based stain with a couple of requirements. First, make sure that the stain is well rubbed out .......

I noticed a similar effect when I started using a Foundation Research LC-1 with my CD player. My normal listening level went from 30 to 25 on the volume control for what seemed to be the same loudness .......
