Actually, Rotel amps generally do not like loads that dip below 4 ohms as Thiels often do. NAD and Parasound do better with tough loads. Tim McTeague .......

Interesting. Their webpage shows no newer copyright dates than 1998 and they say that Siegfried Linkwitz joined them in 1994. No mention is made that he left. As he was the designer I stand by my stat .......

The original "Audio Artistry" is out of business. Their designer, Siegfried Linkwitz, is the man behind the Orion. His words on the subject: "As it turned out, I believe that this speaker is the most .......

http://www.linkwitzlab.com/orion_reviews.htm I've heard tons of speakers in my years but the Orions seem to be the best overall. Their dipole design using dynamic drivers seems to be the best of both .......

I read in the recent Consumer Reports that they find plasma sets are as reliable as CRTs but that RPTVs are much less so and microdisplays more troublesome still. I am torn between a 50" Panasonic Pla .......

I was on a similar road. My Theils were all of the two series, CS2>CS2.2>CS2.3 and I listened to the CS2.4s in my room for a few days. I ended up getting Linkwitz Orions in the "semi" kit form. They w .......

I don't understand this "two entirely different classes of speaker" comment. Either a speaker sounds like the real thing or it does not. I listened to the Maggie 3.6s in my recent speaker shopping que .......

I have to agree. My new Orions, which use a EQ/XO, sounded better than my Thiel CS2.3s but it was the addition of a TacT RCS 2.0 that really opened things up. I really bought it to control the bass pr .......

If you were using the Linkwitz EQ/XO it has a notch filter to take care of the 5kHz peak. How did yours get through? Anyway, the Rotel power amp I use is the one Linkwitz suggests for users who either .......
