The bat-handle on/off switch on my Thor 3000 power supply was a casualty of a recent move. The switch is the lower one on the PS in the pic. Since the company has been defunct for at least ten year .......

You may want to look into Eden Sound's Terra Cones instead of the VPI minifeet. They cost about the same but sound better on my SSM Ref. They allow easy, positive tightening of the lower brass cone .......

You should consider some of the class D multi-channel amps that are out there. Wyred4Sound and D-sonic come to mind. They are making interesting things happen with their high-power amps - all of which .......

That's waay cool that it is actually working the way it should. A good sub should just go away until it's needed. You can experiment with the crossover levels on the sub to get it to sound even better .......

I don't know where the idea comes from that the super platter sounds dead - it doesn't. I use the JMW 10.5i that was standard fare on the SSM until the new classic arm supreded it and it sounds glorio .......

One other thing to consider is future upgrades to your system. Every part on the Scout except for the box it came in can be upgraded over time to sound as good as any VPI table as your budget permits. .......
