Thanks for the input and ideas. I have tied different positions, and they do indeed acheive tremendous bass for their size. I am after sweet mids, and I might be asking too much fom these speakers. I' .......

I wanted to mention that after replacing the analog output PCB, my problem with distortion is solved. Something on the original board is bad, apparently. All is as it should be. Stuck some Russian PIO .......

Thanks for the input, but that's not it. Having removed the V-Caps from both the first and second stages, and soldered the stock caps back in, orientating them in the same direction as originally inst .......

I need some suggestions. After checking all solder joints, cables, amp inputs, tubes, just about everything I can think of, I cannot alleviate the distortion from the analog section of my JD-100. I so .......

Picked up some military spec. cabling material for next to nothing and I am looking for ideas as to what I can do with it. Pretty nice cable. It is 100 foot length of heavily silverplated 18 AWG Stran .......

In trying to replicate the Response Audio mod to the Jolida JD-100, I installed 3.3uf OIMP V-Caps in the first output stage of the JD-100. My experience was the same as DocDicK. First impressions were .......

As the grainy top end goes, my JD-100 came with Ei tubes and they were very grainy/harsh with high frequencies. I put some telefunken's in the JD-100. Tube rolling seems to have solved 50% of the issu .......
