I just swapped my Leak Varislope Valve pre-amp for a passive Nean Valley pre amp. This is really, little more than a switcher box but has completely opened up my Leak Stereo 20, which now sounds way m .......

How can I get the overhang right then?? I have a Linn Adikt that will not go far enough back in the headshell to hit both points correctly on my alignment tool. It's about a quarter of a mil out, will .......

I'm trying to set the correct overhang with my cart and have it right back in the headshell and it has started to hum. This is a kind of mains hum and I believe is caused by a pin on the cart touching .......

My copy sounds great but the vinyl did have a couple of marks on it. But you can't let that spoil your pleasure now...can you? If your vinyl set up is better than the CD then plumb for the vinyl. It's .......

It's an investment that you can upgrade as you go along, or you can trade it in later for a more modern one. At under $450 it's a bargain!! You can find a 2nd hand tonearm at a later date. The beauty .......

I've got the UK versions of all these LP's, - certainly Armed Forces is the best sounding due to there being less studio "effects" being utilised and the listener is closer to the actual source. I agr .......

I've decided to try some silicon O-rings from a local plumbing supplier. I'll post the results (if any) in due course. I got 2 packs of 50 different sizes for £21 which is about $45. Thanks for the ad .......

I'm not sure if I posted this on the right board but the tube board seems to be aimed at guitar amps etc. I've got a pair of Quad II power amps and a Quad 22 Pre-amp (and a leak stereo 20 w varislope) .......
