The wyred for sound is just a power amp. My old setup was a PS Audio phono preamp going into a Pass Lab preamp to my WFS PA. But now I have the Brooklyn Dac+ with analogue input but the Phono preamp d .......

I can't imagine any SACD could be better than the DCC gold CD's (black sliding covers)that I have for the first two Doors albulms. The sound on these CD's is perfect IMHO. .......

I have a Blue Circle filter I plug my seperates in that does not have an On Off switch. Now I would leave the components on all the time but there is a nasty anoying electronic snap through the speake .......

The Paridigm S2 V3 are the speakers I just let go. I could not get use to the BE tweeters. They were fine with my LP 12 but hurt with my Oppo-95. Maybe I would have been happier if they had a sd tweet .......

I use the old Alphason HR100s MCS tonearm on LP12 with an effective mass of 11g. The added weight of the ZU shell makes the match very good I think. .......

Just got my Dl-103R back from ZU and I find that it's very much different than the cartridge I sent them. Where the original was somewhat lean and fuzzy, the mod eliminates all that with a smooth, ful .......

I have to say that putting in a pair of $50 WE396a's in my $300 MHZS CD33 player was an incredible improvement from the various 5670's that I tried. Well recorded CD's now sound the way I expected SAC .......

It's just that HF sparkle that I think I'm missing. My hearing is going some. New BE tweeter monitors might help. Also, they are brutally honest with your equipment and recordings and show minute impr .......

I have the MHZS CD33. With a change from OPA2604 to OPA2107 and a change to UF diodes (about 16) the thing sounds very nice. I tried many other Opamps but the OPA2107 sounds the best by far. Of course .......

I got mine second hand and it always had a hum. Thought that was the way it was made. I love the smooth clean sound from the speakers. I treat it like a car with a strange noise and turn up the radio. .......

I didn't mention that i really like the way the Aragon 2004 MkII amp performs. It's a winner with many types of equipment. Great with a tube pre-amp. .......

I saw Herbie Handcock at a Yellow Magic orchestra concert at the Bottom Line back in the day. I think he really was impressed with the syn sound and went in that direction. YMO, was one of my favorite .......

Thanks for your interst! I have a MHZS CD33e CD player. The Op amp change to OPA2107 was a very nice improvement. I am also changing the diodes this week to uf4007 and hope for some more improvement. .......

Thanks for all the great info! I switched to the OPA2107 from the OPA2604 with great results. It allowed me to also use the WE396a's I had. The sound is much more stable from the "wet reverb" I was ge .......

I recently bought a MHZS CD33a tube CD Player and the sound is driving me crazy. It is annoyingly too tubey and forward sounding. Yuck! I tried the lazy upgrade route of new WE396a tubes then 5670 Ben .......
