I recently purchased and listened to Fischer's Eroica in stereo SACD, and I think it is an excellent performance. A few minor quibbles, but overall it is very dynamic and well paced: majestic yet flow .......

To answer your questions: The sub should be run from the preamp. Your amplifier has enough to do running the mains. The mains should run full range. A decent sub will have enough flexibility built .......

I've used PRP's extensively in a couple amp builds and active xover builds. They provide a metallic sheen but are otherwise okay. They do give a lot of detail, possibly because of a bit of brightness. .......
