Good deal. The azimuth adjust is easy, just use a ruler with a metric scale to set your adjustment, it takes about 2-3 minutes. Another thing that I've found is that some records sound bit (different) .......

That Erocka2000 is a smart guy. I use Morrow cables, and have the Grand Reference PH5 running from my pre to pwr amp and I'm currently burning in a pair of Grand Reference PH6 for my table to preamp c .......

Use a ruler or angle protractor to measure at the front of each side of the headshell, it's faster and much more accurate than eyeballing it. Well you don't have to. M~ .......

Also the Shure (M97XE/V15V series) with the Jico SAS are good. I have a Carmen (need to get it retipped) and compared it with the M97XE/Jico and the M97XE/Jico was more to my taste let's say about 40 .......

I won't rip to a computer any more, too many problems, noise from the power supply, processes running, all kinds of spurious actions too numerous to list. To avoid all of that and I use a stand alone .......

Yes it does, because it controls your VTA. David is right. You should have something similar as pictured in the image Loosen the two screws one directly in back of the arm post assembly and the other .......

I'm there with a Shure M97XE and JICO SAS stylus. For some reason this cartridge just does it for me. When I have a crappy pressing and just want to enjoy the music I use the standard Shure stylus. Wh .......

The SDS is not a must have with the Classic, it works great without it. Get the ring and the weight first. I have all three and could really live with out the SDS, if I had too. If I knew what I know .......

I wasn't disagreeing with you, because I don't know anything about your system. But the pitch and speed of the Classic is spot on without the SDS. I also use the piano, to determine pitch problems or .......

Try adjusting your VTA so that the tail end is down a little, that should tame the brightness. You can check test it to see if it will help, by installing shims, or spacers under an LP, before you act .......

If you could stretch your budget a bit ($1000.00). I'd get a brand new VPI Classic. However if you just have to have a vaccum table, then the Sota would be okay. Plus they offer rebuilds and very good .......

I live in Diego also, and I have two (if memory serves me right) and also the JICO stylus. They are okay and will allow you to enjoy the tunes. The addition of the JICO makes them a little more enjoya .......

Kuma It's a keeper, but a dog to mount in the Ekos as it butts up against the pins. But it plays the tunes and keeps the surface noise down. BTW, I have a Jico stylus coming for my V15VMR and I can't .......

I've had both, and the GL is very easy to dial in. Basically, you get your arm parallel with the record and go from there. In my set up a little tail down works wonderfully, as matter of fact I've had .......

I had the $350.00 retip on a V15VMR and at 15hrs I'm 90% happy. The stylus sure attenuates surface noise on imperfect records. It's getting better than it was, but it's still a pain. I'm not going to .......

I went back to Shure also. I'm running a V15IV/SAS and have a SS ruby retip V15V in work. For me the Shure allows me to "enjoy" the music on the record no matter what condition it is in. m~ ::: TOPIC: .......

I'd go another way. Since you are close as far as money is concerned I would save a bit more and then look for a used Lingo or Ekos. IMHO it would be a much better bang for the buck. m~ .......

I got a Tascam 122 MKIII. What a wonderful cassette deck. It's one of those pieces of equipment that one instantly bonds with. As far as sound quality goes. It's very, very close to the source, howeve .......

Take a microfibre cloth and dip it in a solution of dove or some other mild dish washing liquid and water. Get the cloth damp/moist and then wipe the affected areas gently and that should take care of .......

I have the new Lingo and I love it. I went from a Linn basic motor which had a modified power supply to the Lingo II, and there was a huge difference. The differences were mainly in the areas of liste .......

I have a Transfiguration MK3 on my LP12. I love the cartridge. There is an excellent review written by one of the writers at HighFI+, which you can find if you do a web search. All I can say is ditto .......

I use a NAK CR7A and a 680ZX. I use TDK D90 or the Maxell equivalent of U** 90. I use Dobly C and the tapes sound great. If I use TDK-SA the results go up proportionally. vr macster .......

I am cooking a TS on my LP-12 and it sounds mighty, mighty, mighty, fine. It is the best audio purchase that I have made in a long time. It just simply kicks butt, there is articulation, guitar/ piano .......

My thoughts are that the HRX is a better table than the LP12, however as whether or not that difference is worth $10K is the issue. Right now the difference is not worth me spending $10K on the HRX. $ .......

JDK Actually, I used a combination of coins. I found that having a mixtures of coins dramatically improved the sound. For example a dime was worth a 10% improvement, a quarter was a 25% improvement, e .......
