It seems most SS manufacturers reserve their best efforts for the highest power amps. I'd like to see some all out assaults on a 25-50W amp. .......

Try any of the Sparklehorse albums. "It's a Wonderful Life" is one I use to show off how low and powerful the bass can go in my system. Kind of an unusual approach to bass in that it's a fairly mellow .......

I have found that leaving Vinylzyme on the record for 2-3 minutes, or at least until it starts evaporating, to yeild better results. It is the first thing I do with my cleaning regimen and then follow .......

Try some whites from producers like Jermann, Regaleali, Gravner, Bellavista, and Gaja. All pretty expensive but definitely aren't anything like a Pinot Grigio. On the cheaper side I have found some pr .......

Doug, I have nearly the exact same procedure with my Loricraft except that after dry brushing I start with the Micro-Care Premier. Is there a reason not to use it until step 4? BTW, I definitely suppo .......

Funny, I once had a summer job in Hawaii cutting Ironwood. For those who don't know, it is seriously heavy/dense stuff and I assume that is why it got its name. I've been thinking about an idler wheel .......

It took me a couple of listens to really warm up to it, but now I find it to be one of my faves. Another band I'm enjoying alot that a friend turned me onto about the same time was Wolf Parade. Worth .......

My Colibri also shows resonance with my Schroeder #2 at about 14Hz. It should be about 10 Hz according to graph on VDH's website. If I add a 5g brass headshell that should only drop the resonance by 1 .......

Hi Clive, Well...I'd trade the convenience of a 300 Ohm setting for your phono stage anytime:-). I'll be trying out some different phono preamps soon, but the Dart remains out of reach for now - maybe .......

I kept the transformer for possible use in the future. I borrowed some speakers from a friend today and they hummed too. I think the next step is to figure out if the hum is coming from the electrica .......

I just recieved a Whest phono preamp and hooked it up to the system. I ran the Hifi News test lp to make sure things were hooked up correctly and found that although L+R is correct, I am out of phase. .......

The 10/2 Romex has a hot, neutral and ground and connects to the outlet inside a plastic box. The 10/3 is used, I believe, when you have metal boxes and have an "extra" ground wire that hooks to the b .......

Yes, if I unplug the internal amp and just turn on the main amp which drives the mid and tweet I still get the hum. .......

Yeah, PITA is right, but ultimately that may have to happen. Could I run an extension cord from my neighbors house? I'm not sure if we share a transformer or not, if we do it would limit what I could .......
