You are right, I meant to ask about mono versions that are preferable to stereo versions of the same recording. But appreciate all the good input on mono recordings. Some mono recordings I have found .......

I was listening to a stack of thrift store classical tonight, threw on an old Shaded Dog version of Walton Facade (LM-2285), and was blown away. What a great mono recording! I cannot imagine it could .......

It has the sound of the silver and turquoise label, very detailed. For the 2 bucks I paid, it's definitely a keeper. .......

I have a few of the Belock era Everest recordings, but today picked up one (SDBR-3018) Copeland 3rd, that is a black label with silver print not the turquoise and silver and doweled sleeve of the othe .......

Interesting. I have another label, Premier - which seems like it was produced in the same factory. The label (including the font on the label) looks to be the same - except it is from 1971. In additio .......

In some thrift store visits lately, I have snagged some Brazilian and other S. American recordings which turned out to be some of the finest sounding recordings I have ever heard. The labels, however, .......

Thanks for your note. Given that I have had it for 30 years I am going to hang on to the Connoisseur as my backup. I have no complaints with it, just looking to add a better turntable at this point. A .......
